| Review: What's going on with M. Night Shyamalan recently? I liked him in the earlier films such as Unbreakable and characters, but no critical audience blessed because surely if his direction career is in serious danger. One of the largest and most difficult question is simple: Why M. Night Shyamalan directing the new post-apocalyptic adventure with Will and Jaden Smith? Have you ever wondered guided After Earth or Sony wanted to select any director that Smith previously worked for instead Shyamalan? For those who do not know, first lowest rated movie Will Smith of the 1999s disappointing salad Wild Wild West, one by Jaden of Earth Day, stood still, and another pump for Shyamalan.After Earth feels like a re-cut Battlefield Earth (you know , the film Travolta we do not even care), and sometimes half, I am Legend and half Hunger Games. But for me, maybe his whole Scientology, it starts to destroy the whole story.The story is ridiculous, badly acted (Smith sounded like James Earl Jones), the average sci-fi elements. As this film could have been much worse? I was late Roger Ebert was there giving a sharp Review After Earth. Bottom Line: There will be a great success, summer, but its another disappointment for fans of Will Smith. The patient simply rely on film, and not renting it on DVD. ** 1/2 out of 5 stars |
