| Review: I thought this movie was riveting. It's a little slow to start, but was soon caught my full attention. I had to shift gear from mental expected to continue Pitch Black / clone, but not in a bad way at all. Here are the components of the Pitch Black clearly visible if you arent particularly insightful or port seen Pitch Black. I thought the special effects were some of the best I've seen in a long time, and when I started doing more adjusted to include the background of the story, I was engrossing. I felt that the characters had some depth to them. It is enough for me to worry a little about some of them anyway, and Riddick has become less of cardboard cut-out, and a little more complicated in that movie. Some of the action scenes are also quite impressive. I think it's very disappointing that this is not done better at the box office, and I plan to become a rental shop. I hope you will continue the series next? or two? movies that can be monitored. Those who found the film disappointing, I think it would be: 1) Hardcore sci-fi or action movie fan who spent too much time making mental comparisons of your favorite story / universe, or acting star in the film really just enjoy the movie. 2) People who just wanted to direct action without all the complicated details of sci-fi history. 3) People waiting for the continuation of pitch that does not grow or expand the story or character, who couldnt change gears.I made this movie and this movie, and thoroughly enjoyed. I do not spend the entire film that mental comparisons with other science-fiction or action movies or stars. Yes, some of his ideas have been used before. So what? Plumbing is an idea used by ancient Greek and Roman civilizations. Do not use water, because someone else used before? If you spend all your time in the film making comparisons, it can not give full attention to the film's deserves.For there who enjoy a good sci-fi action movie with a bit of thought behind it, and you do not have the Holy Grail to compare it to recommend this. |
