| Review: OK first, as mentioned in another review, the geographical errors / Historic conspicuous in this movie. You've got men revolvers that look like old-style pistol cap-and-ball behavior, but they are filled with metallic cartridges-historically about five early years. Eastwood carries a rifle was not invented yet, Tuco brings together a super gun from Colt, Remington, and Smith and Wesson impossible. And do not deserve something going on between North and South during the Civil War in the Southwest. Now, that aside, I must say that this is the greatest westerns ever. I first saw this movie when I was about ten. Id never sat through all befor the West, while my father saw them constantly. Since then, I've been through film school, watching hundreds of Westerns, learned to understand them, but nothing matches up to this. Searchers, Stagecoach, Duel at O.K. Corral gunfighter, High Noon, Shane, all great movies, but never takes saddled with Western standards of morality-American good guy liberties with the eastern schoolmarm, the bad guy wear black hat, etc. Coming from Italy, TG, TB & TU is not bound by the conventions. Blondies good guy, but hes also a bounty hunter. It makes living a very immoral way, but of course it is good because not told, but little action, to the dying soldier a cigar and make sure the captain knows his team until he hay RER rhythm bridge, the real regret he feels is Shorty Let Die. And while Angel Eyes can be the evil, at least we know that he is when hes prinicpals-employed in a job that he always see the job through on. Tuco and can be more immoral than the other two, but he is so knowledgeable and Rola so much fun that a person can not bring himself to look at disfavorably him. In other words, historical inaccuracies page, TG, TB and TU perhaps one of the most accurate portrayals of western movies there are never any lines Soile ire-cut transport, no black and white, or gray ; except swirled palette of different aspects of the human condition. |
